Life + Portrait : High ISO and Sunny Coast Music

Well, I found out that there is an Original Music Open Mic night at one of the local bars on the Coast, Lynden, one of my mates, was performing so I went a long for a few snaps and to hear what he has to sing. He rocked!

Here I am thrashing the D300, I had it at ISO 3000, which is about as about as hard as I would want to go on my little baby. Still looks good though I reckon... what do you reckon?

Announcement : I Have Left Flickr

So the news is out, I have left Flickr, for now anyway. I need a break from it, it was becoming so repetative, I have found HEAPS of great contacts through Flickr though, I follow their Blogs religeously. These Contacts are anureal source of help and inspiration.

What is a post without a picture though, here is my last image on there... you might recognize her, it is my stunning Friend from France. This was taken at one of my most favorite places on the entire planet, Lake McKenzie on the beautiful Fraser Island. What a great way to finish of my year on Flickr :)

Life : Pool Tables + Cheap Drinks

Some nights, there really is nothing happening on the Sunshine Coast. Last night was one of those nights, Julian and Myself met up for some coffee and geeky Photo talk and after about an hour, we were about to call it quits and go home. Julian suggested we go check out the pool tables at the local pub...

... and I'm glad that We did!

It was a great night of shooting pool and photos. Inbetween the long stories of games past and people jumping in front of your camera there were plenty of laughs and "OOOOOHS" and "AAAHHHS" from the balls that nearly made the pocket.

Sometimes, you just have to look around the corner to see another world on a boring night. So here is to Pool Tables and Cheap Drinks...

Life + Portrait : Friends at the local

I cannot describe to people (that aren't from around here) just how nice the weather is on the Sunshine Coast around this time of year. Winter rocks my world!

I try not to be one that puts random shots of his mates up on his site, but this one was too beautiful to pass up. Matilda helped Me shoot a wedding last week, she is one very rad photographer. Thanks Till :)
